You are here
As you may know, we have just started using a program called IXL in our grades 1-5 classrooms at Ridgeview. IXL is a comprehensive learning program offering unlimited math and language arts practice across thousands of skills—all of which are aligned to Minnesota Standards. One of the best things about IXL is that your child can access it from home, so you have a chance to see your child's progress!
To get your child started on your home device, please follow these easy steps:
Go to https://www.ixl.com/signin/ridgeview (it is important to use this site rather than the regular ixl.com site)
Bookmark this site for easy access.
Enter your child's username and password and click "Sign in." (Your child has received this from his/her classroom teacher)
Click on any skill to start learning.
IXL is designed to help your child learn at his or her own pace. The program is adaptive and will adjust based on your child's demonstrated understanding of the material. All of your child's results will be saved, so you can monitor his or her progress anytime by clicking on Analytics.
For more information about IXL, please watch the following videos:
Also, if you are interested in a Scavenger Hunt that will help you and/or your child become more familiar with IXL, please click here. PLEASE NOTE: Log in to IXL using the special Ridgeview sign-in site shown above, not ixl.com.
